UK Games Expo 2026 was an incredible experience for Ralbru Games, and one that reminded us exactly why we love being part of the board game community.
From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was electric. The halls were filled with passionate gamers, creators, families, and designers all coming together to share their love for tabletop gaming. There is something truly special about seeing thousands of people discovering new games, reconnecting with old favourites, and spending the entire weekend playing face-to-face.
This year felt especially different for us. Being positioned in a prime location near the Hall 3 entrance gave us a completely new experience compared to previous years. The increased footfall meant we welcomed so many new players to the stand, but one of the highlights was seeing familiar faces return year after year.
We had so many people stop by who remembered playing ButtChess from previous events, coming back to challenge friends, introduce family members, and enjoy the chaos all over again. Seeing a game we created continue to bring people together was one of the most rewarding parts of the weekend.
UKGE 2026 also marked the first big public showcase of our newest release, Exit Strategy. The giant playable version quickly became a centrepiece of the stand, attracting players throughout the weekend. Watching people sit down, learn the game, compete against each other, and experience the race to the centre of the galaxy was fantastic.
The response to Exit Strategy was beyond what we hoped for. Players loved the combination of accessible rules, tactical decisions, and the futuristic space theme. Seeing the excitement around a game we had spent so much time developing made the entire weekend even more special.
Outside of showcasing our games, UKGE was also a fantastic opportunity to build relationships within the industry. We had some brilliant meetings with manufacturers and distributors, discussing future opportunities and continuing to grow Ralbru Games. Events like UKGE are not only about playing games, they are about connecting with the people who help bring them to life.
We were also lucky enough to have some amazing content creators stop by the stand throughout the weekend. It was great catching up with Brad & Kate Games and Scratch It Off Board Games, who took time out of their busy schedules to visit us, chat games, and support what we are building.
Of course, the biggest part of UKGE is always the games themselves. There was plenty of laughter, competition, and friendly rivalry throughout the weekend. Whether it was quick matches of ButtChess, first-time players trying Exit Strategy, or just chatting with fellow gamers, it was an unforgettable few days.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, played our games, shared feedback, and supported Ralbru Games. We came away from UKGE 2026 feeling inspired, motivated, and more excited than ever for what comes next.
We can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us.
