Hello friends, players, and fellow makers!
We at Ralbru have been reflecting a lot recently on where the board game hobby stands in 2026 and more importantly, where we fit into the ever-growing universe of tabletop play. It’s a hobby that continues to surprise us with its diversity, creativity, and the genuinely meaningful moments it creates around tables big and small.
Every year feels like a bundle of ideas, and yet some trends feel timeless: the joy of shared discovery, the thrill of a clever play, a well-timed bluff, and the satisfaction of a clean win earned over thoughtful decision-making. That’s been the engine behind Ralbru from day one, and our latest efforts continue to reflect that.
What We Believe - Our Design Philosophy
At Ralbru, we build games that echo the purest joys of tabletop play: elegant mechanics, strategic depth, and compact rulebooks that invite you in rather than overwhelm you. We don’t believe complexity equals quality it’s clarity, engagement, and replay value that create games people return to again and again.
That’s why our current selection leans heavily into abstract strategy games, that are deceptively simple to learn but layered in decision-making. These are the kinds of experiences that keep groups talking after the last piece is packed away.
Spotlight: Triangulate
One of the titles we’re most proud of is Triangulate (working title) a geometry-inspired abstract strategy game that shows what we’re trying to do at Ralbru.
In Triangulate, players:
- Place geometric elements on the board with intention,
- Balance area control with tactical positioning,
- Navigate a subtly evolving space where small choices cascade into big opportunities.
It’s a game about shaping the board as much as it’s about responding to an opponent’s choices and it’s already created some wonderfully tense sessions during playtests. Triangulate brings both quiet contemplation and sudden bursts of tactical brilliance to the table, a duality we love in games.
The game centers around a triangular board, hence the name, however divided into hexagonal pieces. Players take turn to place there pieces with a simple scoring system. Whomever, has the least hexes at the end wins, sounds simple right... to learn yes, but game play not so much with both a single player and two player mode replayability is endless.
Exit Strategy - Our Newest Yet
Inspired by a true classic Backgammon this game takes on a futuristic look, almost Sci-fi, bring what was in the past to the present with unique 3 sided dice and the ultimate goal remove all your pieces from the board before your opponent. The game stands up to our philosophy and is compact and travel size, ready to be played anywhere you like. If you are interested in finding out more and when this game may be release then just send us an email or message on social media and we can add you to a waiting list for the game. Stay tuned on our socials to find out when Exit Strategy will come to stores near you!
Board Gaming in 2026 - Through Our Eyes

A Focus on Meaningful Play
Players want choices that matter. Whether it’s a tight abstract like Triangulate, a social deduction hit, or a cooperative adventure, decisions that feel impactful are what keep people engaged.
Mindful, Quality-Driven Design
Sustainability, intentional components, and rulesets that respect your time — these aren’t just trends, they’re becoming expectations. We’re proud to build with that in mind.
Community and Space
Board game cafés, hobby shops, and local groups are more than meeting spots — they’re incubators of experience. It’s where new players are welcomed, and old friendships are strengthened.
Digital + Analog Together
Online platforms have introduced new players to classic analog games — and we think that’s a win. Hybrid play keeps communities connected across distances and deepens interest in tabletop experiences.
What’s Next for Ralbru
We’re excited about what’s ahead. Triangulate is moving through its final development stages, and we can’t wait to share it with the world. We’ve got ideas for many more!
But most importantly we’re grateful. To you, our players and supporters. To the cafés hosting warm nights of gameplay. To the designers and creators who inspire us daily. And to every person who’s ever turned over a tile, rolled a die, or made a move that changed everything.
Thank you for being part of this hobby with us.
We hope to see you all at UKGE 2026 - Stand 3-1106
